City of Corunna Grandstand in Hugh McCurdy Park

The Grandstand in Hugh McCurdy Park was constructed by the Shiawassee Fair Board for fair events in McCurdy Park. The county fair has since moved to their new fairgrounds on Hibbard Road South of Corunna. A softball field (larry Franks Memorial Field) was constructed in front of the grandstand.

The Grandstand is maintained by the City of Corunna. In 2003, a new roof was constructed, bringing some life back to the deteriorated structure. Future improvements will call for seating and concrete repairs.
