Manhole Rehab 1

Work has begun on the City of Corunna Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project.

The initial work involves the rehabilitation of failing manhole structures. Structures are first exposed, then mortar repairs are made, new lid assemblies are installed, and the chimney is wrapped.

Contractors then fill and compact around the manholes with a limestone mix. This mix is firmly compacted.

After this, they add additional fill, compact again, and resurface the roadway.

The contractor for this portion of the work is KIM Construction from Steger, Illinois.
