Regular City Hall Hours are Monday-Thursday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Visitors that are in need of personal assistance are encouraged to make an appointment in advance. Public access is restricted for reasons of health, safety, and staff availability.

You may contact City Hall the following ways and we will get back to you as soon as possible:

· Go to the City website at www.corunna-mi.gov. You can find email addresses and forms on the city website.

If you need to make payments to City Hall, the Corunna Police Department, or Corunna-Caledonia Fire Department here are the options:

· Mail your payment to: City of Corunna, 402 N. Shiawassee St., Corunna, MI 48817.

· Place your payment in one of three drop boxes located:

1. Outside by the Police Entrance open 24/7 or

2. Inside the Police Entrance open 24/7 or

3. Inside the Front Entrance open during regular business hours.

· Call (989) 743-3650 ext. 1 and we can receive credit cards payments over the phone (there are some exceptions as to what the payment is for), a third-party fee will be applied.

**FRIENDLY REMINDERS**

TRASH CARTS

Residents are allowed three (3) bulk items to the road each week for pickup, if resident has questions on if the item is something Priority will pick up, please call Priority ahead of time at (586) 228-1200. Carts can be placed to the road no earlier than 7:00pm Sunday evenings. Carts must be removed from the roads as soon as possible after Monday’s pickup. If your cart was missed, please call City Hall at (989) 743-3650 x1. If for any reason you need to have your garbage picked up by the house, please contact us at City Hall (989) 743-3650 x1 so we can let Priority know that you have requested that service. Recycling pick up is biweekly, the pick up schedule can be found on city website.

GRASS AND WEEDS

On property less than one acre in size, grass and weeds must be kept under six inches in length. On a property greater than one acre, grass and weeds must be cut 50 feet from the edge of the street or property line. It is up to the owner of the property to make sure the grass is cut as often as necessary to keep the grass and weeds under six inches. If a property is found to be in violation, the Department of Public Works will cut the grass and the owner will be billed a violation fee plus labor and expenses.

CEMETERY AND SPRING CLEAN UP

Cemetery cleanup is scheduled to be May 6th through the 8th. All items will be removed from the graves during cemetery cleanup including flags, flower arrangements, trinkets etc. Please remove any items before cleanup starts if you do not want them discarded. Spring cleanup is scheduled to be May 13th through the 16th. Grass clippings or leaves need to be in a paper bag and to the curb. Large piles of brush will be picked up on May 17th. Brush needs to be in small enough pieces for one person to be able to pick up. Any updates or changes to these scheduled days will be seen on the city’s calendar. The leaf and brush drop off for City residents only will be open for any resident wishing to take care of their own.

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION

Get ready for the Corunna 4th of July because we want you to be a part of it! The city is currently taking applications for the Firecracker Parade, craft show, car show, and the 5k run. The 4th of July Commission is also still seeking sponsors for the event to cover carriage rides, 5k run, children's games, bingo, and fireworks display. Each sponsorship includes:

1. Our current 4th of July web page advertises them as a sponsor of the fireworks and/or any other

event they sponsor.

2. Name or Logo is on a banner that is displayed at the park where the event is held for donations of $200 or more.

3. Advertising on the local radio station as a main sponsor.

4. Your name is listed on the 5000 events brochures that are handed out.

5. We ask that someone is sent for a newspaper photo shoot.
